Título: Programas de CAD/ANN para Dispositivos Planares com Resultados Eletromagnéticos Incorporados

Resumo: For device models, the accuracy of physicsbased/electromagnetic (EM) simulations is required for computer aided design (CAD) software, but is at the expense of much increased computational cost. Accurate and efficient electromagnetically trained artificial neural network (ANN) models have been developed for planar components. The objective of this paper is to incorporate EM results for CAD software, with the use of ANNs, avoiding excessive computations. The Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) and Radial Basis Function (RBF) were investigated to the mapping geometrical and electrical features: electrical ac resistance of microstrips, inductance of planar spiral inductors (square and circular), and the dc characteristic of planar Field Effect Transistors (FETs).
