Título: Neuro-Fuzzy Modeling with Structure and Parameter Optimization

Resumo: This work presents a method for non-linear fuzzy model identification. The main characteristic of the method is the automatic determination of the number of fuzzy sets in the domain of each input variable and the further optimization of their location by a gradient descent algorithm. The output rule parameters are also optimized by a Least Square Error minimization. The fuzzy sets are determined in such a way that the resultant fuzzy rule base is readable by domain experts. The methodology is applied to numerical examples found in the literature.
