Título: Uma nova proposta para modelos de motoneurônios de diferentes tamanhos

Resumo: As the motoneuron is the final neural signal processor between the brain and the muscle, its characteristics are certainly relevant for the proper neural control of motor behavior. The development of mathematical models of type S, FR and FF motoneurons is described in this paper, followed by several validation tests. The models include a representation of the geometrical aspects of real motoneurons as well as a reasonable number of different ionic channels in the soma and trigger zone. A battery of tests based on experimental data from the literature was employed in the validation phase. The models that were developed represent quite well real motoneurons and shall be useful in future studies of the properties of the neuronal network that exists in the spinal cord for the control of muscle activity.
