Título: Projeto De Controladores PID Em Sistemas Multivariáveis Usando Computação Evolucionária

Resumo: The design of controllers in multi-variable systems represents a complex problem due to several controlled variables not mutually independent. Traditional techniques based on variables decoupling have limitations that encourage the use of Evolutionary Computation (EC) methods. This work compares the performance of PID controllers tuned using Genetic Algorithms (GA) and Particle Swarm (PSO) with other related works in the literature. A classical model of two inputs and two outputs is used for simulation and comparison. The simulation results using EC methods, especially the PSO-based, approach showed a better performance than other relevant works described in literature.
